34-36 Old Bond Street

34-36 Old Bond Street, is a substantial five-storey building, which used to be a branch of the Midland Bank. It was substantially altered and refurbished in 1991 to become the main London Versace Store. Tottenham & Bennett were involved in the design of the following:

  • New Steel frames to support chimney stacks following the removal of a number of internal chimney breasts.
  • A new lift pit and associated underpinning works.
  • New steel columns, reinforced concrete foundations, and connections to the existing structure.
  • New reinforced concrete staircases.
  • Slabs and beams to replace existing basement vaults.
  • A new rear conservatory.
  • Various connections, brackets, and ties.
  • All temporary works.
